HORDA ZERO

HORDA ZERO / WIKI

First-run roadmap

A practical route from the first arena to a stable Horda Zero progression loop without duplicating mutable stats.

First-run roadmap

The first objective is not to force a perfect build. It is to learn the loop that stays useful for the whole game: **survive, read level-up offers, finish the arena, spend permanent resources, and return with a stronger plan**.

Before entering

Start by reading the selected hero page and its starting weapon. A hero's movement, starting attack and unlock path matter more than chasing a generic tier list. If the hero has a Signature, use the Signature article to understand what behavior the kit rewards.

For the first attempts, prioritize a build with clear jobs: one reliable damage source, enough crowd control or area coverage to create space, and sustain only when it solves a real survival problem. Do not take an option only because it is rare or visually impressive.

During the arena

Treat movement as part of the build. Keep escape lanes open, avoid camping in a corner, and reposition before the screen becomes saturated. When a treasure appears, read the canonical treasure article before assuming every chest is just a random stat increase.

The Runic Chest is especially important because rune choices can change the behavior of an already functioning loadout. Runes are not a replacement for a coherent weapon/passive plan; they amplify one.

After the run

Use the result screen as a diagnostic. Check which weapon actually carried damage, whether the build reached its intended evolution, whether the active Kill Contract progressed, and which permanent purchase removes the biggest weakness from the next run.

A failed run can still be productive when it advances unlocks, mastery, contracts or knowledge. The goal of the early game is to make each attempt answer a question instead of simply repeating the same route.
