Secrets and unlocks

A spoiler-aware method for pursuing secret heroes, weapons and discoveries without mixing unrelated progression conditions.

Secrets and unlocks

Horda Zero mixes visible progression with discoveries and secret conditions. The safest way to pursue them is to treat every unlock as a precise objective with its own hero, arena and runtime requirement.

Verify the canonical condition first

Before starting a dedicated attempt, open the canonical page for the hero, weapon or system you want. Do not rely on an old screenshot, remembered requirement or a condition from a previous release. The game repository is the source of truth and the wiki's canonical articles follow that source.

Do not combine unrelated requirements by assumption

A secret condition can mention an arena, a hero, a weapon, a boss or a run state. Another achievement may use similar wording without contributing to the same unlock. Track the exact requirement instead of treating similar counters as interchangeable.

Build for the condition, not only for victory

A run that is easy to win may still be bad for a secret objective. If the requirement depends on a specific weapon, kill source, boss interaction or survival pattern, preserve that condition throughout the attempt even when another build would clear faster.

Confirm the result after the run

Use the result and collection screens to verify that the unlock was persisted. If a condition was completed but the expected item is missing, check the canonical article and current release notes before repeating the run.

Spoiler policy

The main Secrets section can expose full canonical requirements, while beginner guides should avoid revealing them unless the player deliberately follows a secret/unlock link. This keeps the wiki useful both as a reference and as a discovery-friendly companion.

Pair this page with the canonical hero, weapon, arena and discovery articles relevant to the target.
